Talk, Track, Secure

Talk to teens about the negative impacts of drug & alcohol use, including the effects on the developing brain. Help them find healthy ways to deal with stress & boredom. Count prescriptions, track amounts of alcohol & cannabis, and don’t be afraid to ask if something is missing. Secure alcohol, medication and cannabis in a secure place to reduce temptation.

Parenting of LGBTQ+ Teens: A Brief Guide

Raising teens is hard. Caregivers whose teens identify as a different sexual orientation or gender identity than what is sometimes considered “normal” by our society face an addition set of challenges. We believe ALL caregivers can meet these challenges with compassion, understanding, and education.

Our Coalitions

Engaging and Inspiring Healthy Communities

‘Thrives brings together community members of all ages, organizations, schools, municipalities, and businesses to collectively create a healthy environment for young people to grow and succeed.

Through outreach, education, and collaboration, DVCP works to create a supportive community where all youth thrive and feel empowered.

We are a group of adult and youth volunteers who meet monthly. This group includes youth, teachers, police officers, parents, business owners, civic group representatives, health care representatives, and other concerned community members who recognize that the damages of drugs, alcohol abuse, and tobacco affect us all and we work together to foster a healthy and safe community.

A community that values our youth and supports them in living to their fullest potential.

Our mission is to provide opportunities for community members to foster the well-being of our young people, promote the resilience of their families, and reduce harm related to substance use.
